Elden Ring Trophy and Achievement Guide
This page includes story or boss spoilers.
On this page
Elden Ring has 42 trophies and achievements, all of them earned offline: one platinum, three gold, fourteen silver, and twenty-four bronze. There are no online trophies, and a full run to the platinum is usually quoted at 60-100 hours depending on how much you explore.
What the list actually asks for
The list splits into three groups. The largest group is bosses: defeating the major names, including several that are optional for a normal playthrough but required for the achievement list. The second group is endings, of which there are three. The third group is collections — legendary armaments, legendary talismans, legendary ashes, and legendary spells or incantations.
You do not need to defeat every boss in the game, but you do need all the achievement-related ones plus a few that drop legendary gear.
Missable and awkward trophies
Five achievements are considered missable, and three of them are worth planning around:
- One ending trophy can be missed if you take a different ending in the same playthrough. Save backups or a second run solve this.
- The legendary armaments trophy depends on items including the Bolt of Gransax, which sits in the capital before its late-game state change.
- The Lichdragon Fortissax achievement is lost if you kill Fia, the quest giver, before facing the boss.
Legendary armaments and talismans can be handed to you by another player, but legendary ashes and legendary spells cannot, so those must be found yourself.
The two mechanics that decide your run
First, the capital changes state late in the game and locks you out of parts of it. Anything you want from Leyndell, do before that point. Second, you can keep playing after the final boss and pick your ending afterwards, so you can finish loose ends before committing.
A practical approach
Play the game normally and collect legendary items as you explore. Before the capital changes, sweep it. Before the final boss, back up your save if you want all three endings in one run. Nothing else in the list requires unusual planning.
