How to respec your character

To respec, defeat Rennala at Raya Lucaria Academy and then speak to her in the room beyond the fight. She offers rebirth, which lets you reassign every attribute point you have earned, and it costs one Larval Tear each time.
Before you can do it
Raya Lucaria Academy sits in the middle of Liurnia of the Lakes, behind a seal that needs an Academy Glintstone Key. The academy is the second legacy dungeon most players complete, and Rennala is its boss. After the fight, rest at the Site of Grace nearby and return to her chamber: she becomes the NPC who performs the rebirth.
What a rebirth does and does not change
You keep your level, your runes, your weapons, your armour, and every item you have collected. What changes is how your levels are distributed across the eight attributes. Your starting class stays on your character sheet, but it no longer constrains what you can become.
You cannot go below the base attributes your class started with, and you cannot change your name or appearance here.
Larval Tears are limited
Each rebirth consumes one Larval Tear, and the game hands out a fixed number of them through boss drops, a merchant sale, and specific world locations. Treat each one as a real decision rather than a test drive.
If you are unsure about a new direction, check the requirements on the weapon or spell you want before you spend the tear, and bring the Smithing Stones to upgrade it afterwards. A reset without a plan usually ends in a second reset.
