Elden Ring: Mimic Tear Ashes Location in Nokron

This page includes story or boss spoilers.

On this page

Mimic Tear Ashes are in Nokron’s Night’s Sacred Ground. The route has two real gates: Radahn must be defeated so Nokron opens, and you need a Stonesword Key for the sealed chest room.

Open the path into Nokron

Nokron becomes available after Starscourge Radahn is defeated. His defeat creates a crater in east Limgrave, south of Mistwood and west of Fort Haight. Start at the crater’s north edge and descend the large floating rocks to reach Nokron.

Bring one Stonesword Key. It opens the chest room’s imp seal; the crater entrance itself has no key requirement.

Follow the roof route to Night’s Sacred Ground

Work through Nokron until the Mimic Tear boss, then continue into the woods and activate Ancestral Woods. From that grace, jump down onto the roofs below and follow them south into Night’s Sacred Ground. The area sits within Nokron and has its own Site of Grace at the lower level, but the ashes are collected on the upper route before that lower grace is the goal.

Inside the large building, take the route past the Black Whetblade altar. The left hallway leads to the imp-statue door. Use the Stonesword Key, go through the opened mist, and loot the chest at the end for Mimic Tear Ashes.

Equip the summon and pay its HP cost

Night’s Sacred Ground contains other important Nokron rewards, including the Fingerslayer Blade. They are separate pickups. Take the ashes first if that is why you came, then decide whether you are continuing with Nokron or returning to a Site of Grace.

Mimic Tear is part of the broader spirit ashes and summoning system. Its distinguishing cost is 660 HP, not FP. You need more than 660 current HP to summon it. Heal afterward if the next threat is close. The Mimic copies your equipped weapons, armour, talismans, spells and equipped consumables when summoned; arrange that loadout first. Upgrade the ashes with Ghost Glovewort through Roderika, separately from your own weapon upgrades.
