Split the basin by fishing method
Stellar Basin has a broad mix of rod, net, and pot catches. Red Snapper, Coral Grouper, and Barracuda are day catches. Aurora Jellyfish, Firefly Squid, and Glowing Octopus are night catches. Aurora Jellyfish needs a trawl net, while Glowing Octopus can be caught by rod or pot. Crown of Thorns, Blue Crab, and Spiny Lobster are pot-only targets.
The table selects base-game catches that change a route or equipment choice. It is not a full list of Basin fish or aberrations, and it does not promise an aberration on a normal base-fish spot.

Do not cross the centre for a routine catch
The central basin is a danger zone, especially at night. Most collection work can be planned around the outpost, the pontoon, and the outer fishing spots. If you only need a pot catch, set pots and leave them to work while you complete a safer nearby job. If you need a night-only net catch, leave from a close dock with enough time to return before panic becomes the real problem.
The Gulper Eel is a Hadal check
The Gulper Eel for Recording Rarities appears around F4 and needs a Hadal-capable rod. An Abyssal label is not interchangeable with Hadal. Read the habitat icon, install the correct rod, and avoid buying a second deep-water upgrade until it directly unlocks a current destination. Abyssal and Hadal Gear separates those two requirements.
Once caught, report the eel to the Travelling Merchant rather than hauling it through an unrelated relic route. Stellar Basin Pursuits is the better page for the outpost and Ring sequence.
