DREDGE Caught to Order Guide: Every Fishmonger Request

On this page

Take the orders in their natural fishing loop

The Fishmonger at Greater Marrow starts Caught to Order. The reward for completing the full chain is two Research Parts, but the useful part is that each request teaches a different collection method. Deliver each order to him before stocking the hold for the next one; fish condition and cargo space make hoarding every target at once unnecessary.

Order What to bring Preparation
First Gulf Flounder and Grey Eel Use a Shallow-capable rod around The Marrows.
Second Two Arrow Squid and a Black Grouper Fish at night; both targets are night catches.
Third Common Crab and Fiddler Crab Deploy crab pots and return after they have had time to work.
Final Any aberrant fish Catch an aberration, then return to Greater Marrow.

Solve the night and pot orders separately

For Arrow Squid and Black Grouper, leave a dock close to sunset, catch only what the order needs, and head back once the hold has both Squid and the Grouper. Do not wait in open water merely to fill extra slots. Night Fishing and Panic has the safer dock-first routine.

The crab order is different. Pots, rather than rods or trawl nets, catch Common Crab and Fiddler Crab. Set pots where you can revisit them on a normal Marrows loop. If the first lift gives only one target, reset the pot and continue with another local job instead of sailing to another region.

Finish with an aberration

The final request accepts any aberrant fish. It does not demand a named species, an exotic fish, or a perfect catch. Once one is safely in the hold, deliver it to the Fishmonger. The Fishmonger becomes unavailable until the following day after this hand-in, so sell fish and finish any business with him first if that matters to your route.

Do not confuse this with the earlier Grotesque Fish story trigger or with Recording Rarities. Caught to Order is a local side chain. Its two Research Parts are the only completion reward to plan around.
