One tablet starts the side pursuit
Stone Tablets are a Devil’s Spine side route. Dredge one tablet and take it to the Trader at Little Marrow to begin Stone Tablets. He identifies the pattern and asks for the remaining two. Do not expect the three pieces to become a light at the moment you find them; the Trader must fuse the full set first.
Each tablet uses cargo space. Clear fish and materials out before a tablet run, and keep the route separate from the Pocket Watch relic if you are close to the end of the main story. A tablet is easier to protect when the only other important cargo is an explosive for a known obstacle.
Prepare before searching Devil’s Spine
The three tablets are in Devil’s Spine. The first visible find begins the journal, while later access is much smoother after Hermitage has unlocked Packed Explosives. One tablet requires an explosive route and the others are easier to reach after debris is cleared. That makes this a late side trip, not an early purchase priority.
Use this checklist:
- Finish Gale Cliffs Pursuits to unlock explosives.
- Buy one explosive only if it opens the tablet route you are taking now.
- Leave with cargo room for tablet pieces.
- Return the pieces to the Trader at Little Marrow once you have the set.
- Take the Fused Tablet back to Devil’s Spine and look for the Ancient Lighthouse door.
The fused item is larger than one tablet, so check the grid before collecting it. Do not sell it or replace it with ordinary cargo on the way to the lighthouse.
Open the Ancient Lighthouse
The Ancient Ruins are in Devil’s Spine at O15. Use the Fused Tablet at the lighthouse door. The reward is Flame of the Sky, a unique light. This is a side-pursuit payoff: it can improve a later boat layout, but it is not a required substitute for the standard Shipwright lights that make ordinary night travel manageable.
The ruin also has smaller valuables. Treat those as bonus cargo after the light has a safe place in the hold. If the grid is full, the unique pursuit reward is the priority; sell ordinary items at a dock later.
Keep story and side routes separate
Stone Tablets share Devil’s Spine with Flames of The Deep and the final relic, but each has different cargo and return points. The temple route wants fish submissions and Fathomless Flames; this route wants dredging space, explosives, and a visit to Little Marrow. Do one clean loop at a time. For the main regional quest, use Devil’s Spine Pursuits. For light and slot tradeoffs, use Ship Upgrades.
