Start with the grieving father
Speak to the Grieving Father at Little Marrow, K8. He asks for his son’s personal effect, the Bronze Belt Buckle. This is a Dredging job, not a fish catch, so make sure the Collector has already installed the dredge on the boat before trying to complete it.
The buckle is in a shipwreck at L8, behind Little Marrow. Leave the dock, follow the shore around the island, and interact with the wreck’s dredging spot. Bring a little cargo space: the buckle must come back in the hold, and filling the grid with fish beforehand turns a one-stop errand into a disposal puzzle.
Hand it in instead of selling it
Return to the Grieving Father at Little Marrow with the buckle intact. The intended hand-in gives one Research Part. It is easy to mistake the buckle for ordinary sellable loot because it has a trinket-like role in the hold. Selling, discarding, or losing it ends the pursuit without that Research Part.
That makes the choice simple for a fresh save. The early Research Part has more value than a quick trinket sale because it can advance the next rod, engine, pot, or net research node. If you need a purchase plan after the hand-in, use Research Parts and choose a node that solves the next route rather than a distant late-game habitat.
Pair it with a safe Marrows loop
Lost at Sea is best done on the first days around Greater and Little Marrow. Catch or sell fish at Greater Marrow, visit Little Marrow for the request, dredge L8, then return directly. The route avoids a night crossing and leaves the boat free for Caught to Order at the Fishmonger.
Do not confuse the Bronze Belt Buckle with the pocket watch, ring, or other Collector relics. It has no part in the ending route. For that story sequence, follow Main Pursuits Route and keep the two cargo jobs separate.
