Season synopsis

Spike Spiegel and Jet Black chase bounties across the solar system, but most jobs bring more trouble than money. A stolen case delivers Ein, a data dog, to their ship; at a casino, Faye Valentine then crosses their path and becomes another passenger. Hacker Ed joins after tracking an errant satellite. These arrivals turn the Bebop from a two-person business into a crowded, unreliable home.
That home keeps colliding with the past. Jet returns to Ganymede and learns why Alisa left, then discovers that a former police partner betrayed him. Faye uncovers how a con man left her with debts after her cryogenic revival, and an old tape offers a clue to the childhood she cannot remember. Spike’s history is harder to leave behind: Vicious and the Red Dragon Syndicate reappear, while a search for Julia draws Spike into Gren’s unfinished grievance.
Faye follows the tape to Earth, finds that her childhood home is gone, and returns to the Bebop; Ed reconnects with her father and leaves with Ein. When Vicious seizes control of the Syndicate, Julia and Spike try to escape together; she is shot and dies. Spike says goodbye to Jet and Faye, then storms the Syndicate headquarters and kills Vicious in their final duel. He descends the stairs gravely wounded; the last image leaves his survival unresolved.
