Tar Golem gives you Vatra’s Seal

From Disciple’s Grotto Beacon, take the right-hand ramp down to the air shaft. Follow the path past Ruk, use the teleporter to cross into the arena, then examine the door to start the Tar Golem fight.

Tar Golem is a story encounter with an unusual finish. When its health reaches zero, it explodes and starts a cutscene. The encounter then moves the campaign forward. After the scene, collect Vatra’s Seal from the arena.

What Vatra’s Seal changes

Vatra’s Seal unlocks Harden. Harden prevents damage from the next attack, and a correctly timed Perfect Harden deals Break damage. It gives you a different defensive choice from the Untarnished Seal’s Guard. Equip it at the next safe stop and use it on one readable hit before taking it into a longer fight.
