Mortal Shell II Enemies

Learn one threat at a time
The official combat description focuses on posture breaks and critical strikes. Against ordinary enemies, that gives you a simple learning loop: see the opening move, identify the range, pressure when the sequence ends, and reset before the next one.
The official updates are a reminder that enemy behaviour can change. Recent fixes cover Harpy attacks connecting correctly, Grisha Summons taking fewer attacks and reacting correctly to Miracle with Smert, bats returning to an opening-region Beacon, and Grisha Hunters retaining their weapons when you revisit camp.
A clean approach to a new enemy
- Pull one enemy clear of a crowd if the space allows it.
- Watch the first attack string instead of trading blindly.
- Use the same opening twice before deciding the timing is reliable.
- Switch to a sidearm or a different Shell tool only when it solves a real problem.
Avoid building a route around behaviour that a patch has already fixed. If a guide promises an easy loop, check the date against the official notes. The stronger habit is understanding what creates posture pressure and where you can safely step away.
