Season three begins after Kendall’s televised accusation against Logan. Kendall tries to recruit Waystar executives and use the cruises cover-up against his father, while Logan works to contain the Department of Justice investigation. Family members and senior staff shift sides as they guess who will control the company. Gerri becomes acting chief executive. At the annual shareholder meeting, Shiv negotiates extra board seats with Sandy’s side, but Logan’s poor health and the unresolved fight over control leave the arrangement precarious.
Kendall’s campaign loses momentum when lawyers say his evidence is not enough to bring down Waystar. At his fortieth birthday party, Roman delivers Logan’s offer to buy Kendall’s shares for two billion dollars. Roman also tries to bring GoJo into a deal with Waystar. The negotiations initially concern a merger of equals, but GoJo’s rising value changes the terms: Lukas Matsson proposes buying Waystar and taking over as chief executive. Kendall ends up face-down in his own pool and is rescued. During his mother Caroline’s wedding weekend in Italy, he admits to Roman and Shiv that the waiter from Shiv’s wedding died after their crash.
Roman and Shiv join Kendall when they learn Logan plans to sell the company without them. They believe their mother’s divorce settlement gives them veto power, so they confront Logan at his villa. Logan has already changed the settlement and removed that protection. He also knows they are coming because Tom warned him, turning his quiet loyalty into a betrayal of Shiv. Logan proceeds with the GoJo sale, while the siblings leave Italy shut out of the company and unsure whether their brief alliance can last.
