Kendall plans a lavish fortieth-birthday party while Shiv and Roman prepare to pitch GoJo founder Lukas Matsson on a possible deal. Waystar’s leaders hear that the Justice Department investigation may end in a settlement, easing Tom’s fear of prison; he celebrates by wrecking Greg’s office, though Logan quietly reminds him of his offer to take the blame. The event is built around Kendall’s self-image, with a replica of his childhood treehouse as the private area. When Rava arrives, she tells Kendall that Waystar employees have been harassing her and their children, a move Roman supported and Shiv opposed.
Roman gives Kendall Logan’s card, offering to buy his shares and telling him to leave the company. Shiv is angry that Roman would benefit from the offer while she would not. Kendall bars his siblings from Matsson’s section, but Roman slips in and suggests that GoJo could replace Waystar’s struggling StarGo service without reporting directly to Logan. Matsson agrees to continue talks. Kendall backs out of his planned performance and searches for a present from his children, while Greg asks Comfry on a date despite Kendall’s objections. As the party empties, Kendall becomes overwhelmed, breaks down and asks Naomi to take him home. He lashes out at his siblings on the way out, and Roman shoves him to the ground before Naomi comforts him at his apartment.
