Season 2

Season synopsis

Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.

Kendall leaves rehab to publicly retreat from his takeover attempt, then spends the season following Logan’s orders as Waystar tries to survive a hostile bid. Logan pursues Pierce Global Media and privately invites Shiv into the business, suggesting she may become chief executive. Shiv leaves Senator Eavis’s campaign, but Logan withholds a firm promise. Connor launches a presidential run and Tom takes a senior role at ATN, bringing Greg into the news division. Shiv’s marriage strains under her affair and demand for an open relationship.

The cruises abuses become Waystar’s central crisis. A New York Magazine report about executive Lester McClintock is followed by a whistleblower’s account of exploitation, hush money and deleted records. Executives face a congressional inquiry, where Tom and Greg are questioned and Kendall defends the company. The Pierce acquisition collapses after the scandal surfaces. Logan installs Rhea as a possible successor, but Shiv undermines her when she learns a whistleblower is about to speak. The family gathers on Logan’s yacht to choose who will absorb the blame as shareholders and lawmakers close in.

Logan concludes that Kendall’s public confession will protect the company better than his own resignation. He tells Kendall to accept responsibility for the cruise crimes and says he is not yet ruthless enough to lead. Kendall agrees to take the fall, still carrying the secret Logan used to control him after the waiter’s death. At the press conference, he abandons the prepared statement and accuses Logan of knowing about the abuses. He calls his father a bully and a liar, then says Logan’s reign is over. Logan watches the broadcast with a faint smile; Greg stands beside Kendall with the copied documents.
