After the failed takeover and fatal crash in England, Kendall is brought from an Icelandic rehab clinic to read a statement backing down. Karolina coaches him to say his father’s plan was better, but he looks dazed on camera. Shiv and Tom cut short their honeymoon, while Roman and Gerri watch from a Japanese hospital after Roman’s satellite launch explosion. Back in New York, Kendall tells Logan what he revealed to Stewy and Sandy. Logan’s adviser Jamie Laird warns that a prolonged fight could cost the company and urges him to name a successor.
At the family’s Hamptons house, a foul smell comes from dead raccoons stuffed in the chimney. Logan asks his children whether he should sell Waystar, then questions them privately. He tells Shiv he wants her to succeed him, but asks her to keep the offer secret while she learns the business. At dinner, he appoints Kendall and Roman co-COOs and names Gerri a nominal successor. He sends Kendall alone to meet Stewy and Sandy. Kendall backs his father’s position, and Sandy refuses to compromise, leaving the legal fight in place. Shiv tells Tom about his ATN promotion while withholding Logan’s private promise to her. Kendall, meanwhile, remains dependent on Greg to supply him with cocaine.
