Season synopsis

With Gus gone, Walter, Jesse and Mike restart production around methylamine. They recruit Todd and steal the chemical from a freight train, but Todd shoots a boy who witnessed the robbery. Jesse and Mike want out; Walter expands the business and kills Mike during a dispute over Gus's imprisoned associates. He then arranges for Jack's gang to murder those men in prison. At home, Skyler is frightened by Walter's power and struggles to protect their children.
Walter leaves the trade for the car wash, but his cancer returns. At a family gathering, Hank finds a clue in a book Walter received from Gale and realizes Walter is Heisenberg. Hank reopens the case. Walter tries to intimidate and frame him, while Jesse joins Hank after discovering that Walter poisoned Brock. Their plan leads to a desert confrontation. Jack's gang kills Hank and Steve Gomez, takes Jesse prisoner and forces him to cook. Walter's family rejects him, and he disappears into hiding.
Months later, Walter returns to arrange money for his children and confront his former operation. He visits Skyler, gives her information to negotiate with authorities and admits he acted for himself. At Jack's compound, he uses a remote gun to kill the gang and free Jesse. Jesse kills Todd and escapes in the gang's car. Wounded, Walter walks into the meth lab and collapses as police arrive; the series implies his death.
