Walt returns to New Mexico in a stolen car and scares Gretchen and Elliott into putting his remaining money in a trust for Walter Jr. Badger and Skinny Pete sell the threat with laser pointers and report blue meth is still sold. He realizes Jesse may be alive. Walt retrieves the ricin from his old house and rigs a machine gun in the car trunk. He offers Todd and Lydia a formula without methylamine. Lydia feigns interest and arranges a meeting between Walt and Jack, expecting the gang to kill him. Before he goes, Walt visits Skyler, leaves her the lottery ticket with Hank and Gomez’s burial coordinates, and admits he made the meth for himself.
Walt sees Holly, then watches Walter Jr. come home before driving to Jack’s compound. Jack orders his men to kill him, but Walt accuses Jack of working with Jesse. Jack brings Jesse out to disprove the accusation. Walt tackles Jesse and triggers the machine gun, killing the gang members around them. Jesse strangles Todd with his shackles and frees himself. Walt shoots Jack, then asks Jesse to kill him. Jesse refuses. Walt answers Todd’s phone and tells Lydia he put ricin in her stevia sweetener. Jesse and Walt exchange a farewell nod before Jesse escapes in Todd’s car. Wounded, Walt walks through Jack’s meth lab and dies as the police arrive.
