The Lady Is a Vamp
Jeanne Louise Argeneau leaves work one evening and wakes up tied to a bed by a mortal man.
About
The Lady Is a Vamp is a paranormal romance by the Canadian writer Lynsay Sands, published in 2012. It is one of the later books in her Argeneau series about a large family of long-lived vampires living quietly among human beings.
Jeanne Louise Argeneau works for the family's business interests and is used to controlling her own arrangements, which is not how the evening ends. She is kidnapped by a good-looking mortal called Paul Jones, who has decided that she is the only vampire who can help him with a problem he cannot solve alone.
Paul's position is not the simple one an abductor's ought to be, and Jeanne Louise is more interested in him than she is angry with him, which complicates the plan he had in mind. He has gone to a great deal of trouble to arrange the meeting. What neither of them can afford to ignore is that the immortal world's equivalent of a police force is hunting for Paul's employer, and that the time the two of them have is running out.
