One Lucky Vampire
Nicole Phillips hires a housekeeper and gets a tall, dark and very good looking man named Jake Colson instead.
About
One Lucky Vampire is a paranormal romance by the Canadian writer Lynsay Sands, published in 2013 as part of the Argeneau series. The books share a world of long-lived immortals and the mortals who find out about them.
Nicole Phillips was expecting somebody frumpy and almost certainly female when she agreed to take on help in the house. What she gets is Jake Colson, who is neither, and who proves to be more useful around the place than she had any right to expect.
Jake has only recently become what he is and has had little time to get used to it before he is asked to do a favour for his family. The favour is to keep an eye on Nicole without letting her know, because somebody has been targeting her.
He intends to deal with whoever is threatening her and then to explain himself, and the novel follows the two of them through that. The book is one of a long run of connected romances, and the same family appears in all of them.
