Runaway Vampire
Dante Notte has been run over by a motorhome, which is not how he expected to meet the woman he is supposed to spend the rest of his life with.
About
Runaway Vampire is a paranormal romance by the Canadian writer Lynsay Sands, published as part of the Argeneau series. It begins with a traffic accident and stays close to the two people involved in it.
Dante Notte is the injured immortal at the centre of the book. He has heard it said that love hurts, and he had not expected it to arrive in the form of a vehicle, but the shock of meeting Mary Winslow turns out to be worth more to him than the broken ribs.
Mary is the driver of the motorhome and is, as far as she knows, an ordinary woman on a journey. The younger man who climbs into her vehicle, naked and bleeding, tells her that the two of them belong together, which is not an easy thing for her to take on trust.
The complication is that the people who took Dante's twin brother are now after her as well. Staying with him would mean risking her life for somebody she has just met, and leaving would mean abandoning him, and the novel follows what she decides.
