Season synopsis

Wednesday Addams arrives at Nevermore Academy after retaliating against the boys who bullied her brother Pugsley. Her parents hope their old school will suit her, but Wednesday immediately wants to escape. Her werewolf roommate Enid is sociable where Wednesday is guarded, while Thing, the family’s disembodied hand, has been sent to watch over her. A monster killing people around nearby Jericho gives Wednesday a reason to stay. Her psychic visions lead her toward the town’s founder, Joseph Crackstone, and a history of persecution that connects the murders to her own ancestor, Goody Addams.
The investigation draws Wednesday toward local barista Tyler and makes her suspicious of classmate Xavier, whose drawings resemble the creature. Missing body parts suggest the killings have a purpose beyond feeding. Her friend Eugene is attacked after watching someone destroy the monster’s cave. Wednesday’s certainty repeatedly outruns her evidence: she helps put Xavier in jail before a kiss with Tyler triggers a vision revealing him as the Hyde. Eugene’s memory of red boots then identifies teacher Marilyn Thornhill as Laurel Gates, a descendant of Crackstone who awakened Tyler’s powers and directed his murders.
Principal Weems uses her shapeshifting to help expose Laurel, but Laurel kills her and takes Wednesday’s blood to resurrect Crackstone. Wednesday survives a fatal wound through Goody’s intervention, losing access to her ancestor’s guidance in return. Enid finally transforms into a werewolf and fights Tyler, while Bianca helps Wednesday defeat Crackstone and Eugene turns his bees against Laurel. Xavier is freed, and Nevermore closes early. Wednesday leaves with friendships she had resisted, but the danger has not vanished: threatening messages arrive on her new phone, and the identity of the person watching her remains unresolved.
