To help another player, enter Soul Form and place a Blue Eye Stone sign near the stage or boss they are attempting. To invite help, be in Body Form, look for a blue sign, and summon the player into your world. A password in the network settings makes arranging a session with a friend much easier than relying on public sign placement.
Body Form also creates invasion risk. If you only want to practice a stage alone, return to Soul Form after a boss and leave the world with the invader decision out of the way. If you want the extra health and the social play, stay human and treat an invasion as part of the attempt: protect the route back to the fog gate, avoid fighting in a narrow mob pack, and do not panic-spend healing before you understand who is pressuring you.
Online play interacts with systems that make each world feel different, so keep a character goal in mind. A co-op evening, a tendency event, and a no-help first clear ask for different choices. Read World Tendency before deliberately changing a world’s state.
