Demon's Souls PS5: Attributes and Equipment
On this page
Choose a damage direction before spending levels. Strength and Dexterity support different physical weapons; Magic and Faith support their own spell and weapon choices. First meet the requirement to hold your chosen tool, then raise the attribute that improves its listed scaling. Read the weapon screen instead of assuming a high attack number tells the whole story.
Vitality gives room to survive mistakes. Endurance supports stamina and equipment capacity, which matters when armor, shield, and weapon make rolls slow or awkward. Intelligence supports spell slots and magic use; Faith has its own miracle and weapon relationships. Do not try to raise every attack stat just because a weapon shows several letters. A focused early character gets a clear benefit from each level.
Before leaving the Nexus, equip the weapon and shield you intend to use, then test a sprint, a roll, and several attacks. If the roll feels sluggish, lighten armor or change the loadout before adding levels only to carry a look you do not enjoy. Swap damage types when an enemy resists your usual plan. Reinforce the weapon that passes this test through Blacksmith Ed instead of buying a new answer to every encounter.
