Decoherence

Spoilers for this episode.

Serac takes control of Delos and orders its hosts and stored host data destroyed. Charlotte's copy of Dolores tries to secure that data before it disappears, but she is also worried about Jake and Nathan. Serac identifies her partly because she has shown more concern for Hale's family than the real woman did. With her disguise exposed, she has to fight her way out of the company she was sent to infiltrate.

Maeve returns to the simulated Warworld while Serac prepares new bodies for her and several allies. She restores Hector's memories and questions the recovered Dolores copy from Conells's damaged control unit. Their argument turns on the lives each has sacrificed and Maeve's fear for her daughter. In the physical Delos laboratory, Charlotte destroys Hector's control unit, ending his chance to return in a new body. She takes the damaged Dolores unit as guards close in, while Maeve wakes to continue the fight.

At the institution, William undergoes an immersive therapy session with versions of his younger selves and James Delos. His memories contradict the comforting idea that violence was simply forced upon him. He beats his other selves and declares that he will become the good guy. Bernard and Stubbs find him in the largely abandoned facility. Charlotte reaches home and tries to take Jake and Nathan away, but their car explodes. She crawls from the burning wreck, badly scorched, while the family she tried to protect is lost.
