Wanda stays home after expanding the Hex, but the furniture, food containers and the twins' game controllers keep changing between decades. She admits to the camera that she does not understand what is happening. Agnes offers to take Billy and Tommy for the day. Elsewhere, Vision wakes at the circus that replaced the S.W.O.R.D. camp and finds Darcy working there without her outside memories. He restores those memories, and they take a vehicle toward Wanda's house.
Traffic lights and roadworks delay them while Darcy explains Vision's earlier life and death. Vision eventually abandons the drive and flies away. Outside the Hex, Monica attempts to enter in an armored rover, but the barrier rewrites part of the vehicle and throws it back. She forces herself through on foot instead. Her eyes glow, and she can see energy around her. Monica reaches Wanda and warns her about Hayward, surviving Wanda's attempt to throw her onto the pavement.
Monica tries to reach Wanda through their shared experience of losing someone, but Agnes interrupts and leads Wanda away. At Agnes's house, Wanda notices the twins are missing and follows instructions to search the basement. Beneath the house she finds a chamber filled with vines and magical objects. Agnes reveals herself as the witch Agatha Harkness. A musical montage exposes her interference in their lives, including manipulating the supposed Pietro, and she admits killing Sparky. Monica later finds the basement entrance, only for Pietro to appear behind her.
