Agatha Harkness's past appears in a scene set in Salem, where her coven tries to execute her for forbidden magic. She drains their power and kills them instead. In Westview, she prevents Wanda from using magic inside her rune-covered basement and demands to know how Wanda controls the town. Agatha explains that the supposed Pietro was under her influence. With Billy and Tommy still missing, she forces Wanda through memories to uncover the source of her abilities.

Wanda relives watching American sitcoms with her parents and Pietro before an explosion destroys their home. Agatha suspects Wanda unknowingly used magic to stop a second missile from detonating. A later memory shows Hydra exposing Wanda to the Mind Stone, which Agatha believes strengthened powers she already possessed. Wanda also revisits a quiet conversation with Vision after Pietro's death. Their time watching television together contrasts with her subsequent visit to S.W.O.R.D., where Hayward refuses to release Vision's dismantled body for burial.

Wanda leaves the facility without taking the remains, contradicting Hayward's account. She drives to a vacant Westview property Vision bought for their future home. Overwhelmed, she releases the magic that builds their house, creates another Vision and transforms the town into a black-and-white sitcom. Back in the present, Agatha holds the twins captive and identifies Wanda's spontaneous creation as chaos magic. She calls Wanda the Scarlet Witch. At S.W.O.R.D., Hayward's team uses energy from the damaged drone to activate the reassembled original Vision, now entirely white.
