Wanda plans a family Halloween with Billy and Tommy, but Vision says he must patrol with the neighborhood watch. Pietro steps in as their unruly uncle and takes the twins trick-or-treating. Tommy discovers he can move at super speed, while Wanda questions Pietro about his unfamiliar face and their shared past. His answers do little to settle her doubts. He also knows that she controls Westview and presses her to explain how she created their new surroundings.
Vision uses his supposed patrol to explore beyond the busy streets. He finds residents repeating tiny movements or standing motionless, then discovers Agnes sitting in a car near Ellis Avenue. When he wakes her from her usual personality, she recognizes him as an Avenger and tells him he is dead. Outside the Hex, Hayward has Monica, Jimmy and Darcy removed from the investigation. They sneak back in and discover he is tracking Vision rather than simply watching the town's residents.
Darcy warns Monica that crossing the boundary has changed her cells, but Monica leaves with Jimmy to collect equipment for another attempt. Darcy stays to investigate Hayward's files. Vision pushes through the barrier and begins coming apart while begging for help for the people inside. Darcy protests, and a guard handcuffs her to a vehicle. Billy senses his father's distress and alerts Wanda. She expands the Hex to bring Vision back inside, swallowing the S.W.O.R.D. camp and Darcy. The military installation becomes a circus as Hayward escapes the advancing wall.
