Unidentified Black Males

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Tony notices Blundetto's injured foot and faces Johnny's suspicion that his cousin killed Joey Peeps. He supplies an alibi to protect him, though Johnny warns him about lying. In therapy, Tony admits the truth about the night Blundetto was arrested: a panic attack prevented Tony from joining him. His story about being attacked by Black men concealed that episode. He recognises that guilt about escaping prison has shaped his treatment of his cousin.

Finn takes a construction job arranged by Tony and discovers how threatening the crew can be. He sees Eugene attack Little Paulie, then arrives early one morning and catches Vito performing oral sex on a security guard. Vito pressures him to attend a baseball game together, and Finn fears what might happen if he stays. An argument with Meadow about leaving lasts through the night before he proposes marriage, tying their engagement to a crisis she struggles to understand.

Carmela decides to pursue a divorce and investigate Tony's finances. Tony refuses her claim to a share of their assets and has already consulted local lawyers, preventing them from representing her. She discovers that obtaining effective legal and financial help will be difficult despite her determination to proceed. Meadow calls to announce her engagement while Carmela looks outside at Tony floating in the swimming pool, still occupying the home and the comfortable life she wants to divide.
