The Roys prepare for Logan's funeral as protesters fill the streets after ATN's election call. Kendall argues with Rava over taking their children away from the unrest and learns that Jess plans to leave her job. Shiv tells her brothers she is pregnant and advises Matsson to release GoJo's inflated subscriber figures while other news dominates coverage. At the church, she proposes an American chief executive as a way to win Mencken's support for the sale, putting herself forward. Ewan speaks about his brother's difficult childhood, then condemns the harm Logan caused through his business. Roman approaches the lectern but breaks down at the sight of the coffin.
Kendall takes over and defends Logan's drive to build and act, while Shiv describes a father whose affection was scarce and whose treatment of women wounded her. At the burial and reception, Kendall recruits Hugo to work against the sale and offers Colin a job. Mencken gives Roman little assurance that he will honor their understanding, while Shiv introduces him to Matsson. Matsson later reports that an American CEO would make the acquisition acceptable to Mencken, and Shiv believes she could get the role. Kendall tells Roman they must work against her and blames him for mishandling Mencken and the eulogy. With footage of his breakdown circulating, Roman walks into the protest, provokes people and is knocked down.
