America Decides

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Tom runs ATN's election coverage while Kendall, Roman and Shiv argue over the presidential race. Roman supports Mencken, who promises to block the GoJo sale, while Shiv backs Jiménez and opposes Mencken's politics. Rava tells Kendall that she and their daughter Sophie are frightened by the hostility surrounding the campaign. Greg tells Tom about Shiv's secret work with Matsson. When a fire destroys ballots in Milwaukee, Roman pushes ATN to call Wisconsin for Mencken despite uncertainty over the missing votes. Election analyst Darwin warns against it, but an accident involving wasabi prevents him from explaining a proposed qualification on air, and Tom approves the state call.

Connor concedes and endorses Mencken after negotiating an ambassadorship. Shiv tells Tom she is pregnant, but he suspects another attempt to manipulate him. Kendall remains torn about supporting Mencken and asks Shiv to find out whether Jiménez would block the acquisition. She pretends to call Nate and gives a vague answer. Kendall checks for himself, discovers the lie and gets Greg to confirm her alliance with Matsson. Angry at Shiv, he joins Roman in backing the national call. Tom sends Greg to relay the order, and ATN declares Mencken the winner despite the unresolved Wisconsin ballots. Shiv promises Matsson she will fight back. Kendall calls Rava to ask to see his children, but she refuses.
