Shiv and Tom host a party for political and business figures on the eve of the presidential election. Kendall and Roman invite Nate, hoping his connections can help block the GoJo sale. Shiv alerts Matsson to their plan and urges him to attend. Kendall's attempt to exchange favorable ATN coverage for help against the acquisition fails when Nate rejects the approach. Roman presses Connor to quit the presidential race in return for an ambassadorship, but Connor and Willa refuse. Matsson arrives with Ebba and Oskar, and talk spreads that Tom will lose his job after the sale. Shiv allows the suggestion to circulate.
Ebba tells Kendall and Roman that GoJo's subscriber figures in India are inflated. Matsson admits the problem to Shiv, giving her fresh doubts about the deal she has supported. Gerri rejects Roman's attempt to undo her firing and demands a substantial exit agreement, threatening to expose his explicit messages if necessary. On the balcony, Tom challenges Shiv about the rumors of his dismissal. Their argument moves through infidelity, his betrayal in Italy and her refusal to support him when he feared prison. He questions her capacity to love or become a mother, unaware she is pregnant. Kendall privately pitches Frank a plan for Waystar to buy GoJo with himself in charge. Tom and Shiv finish the night in separate beds.
