Season synopsis

Gi-hun begins the final season in despair after the revolt and Jung-bae’s death. Guard No-eul frees Gyeong-seok from the game and escapes the island. In the deadly Hide and Seek maze, Jun-hee goes into labor. Hyun-ju and Geum-ja help deliver her baby and lead the group toward safety, but Myung-gi stabs Hyun-ju as she turns back for them. Geum-ja stabs her son Yong-sik to stop him attacking Jun-hee and the newborn; she later takes her own life. Gi-hun, consumed by guilt over Jung-bae, hunts Dae-ho through the maze and kills him.
The survivors face Jump Rope on a narrow elevated walkway, where Jun-hee’s injured ankle leaves her unable to cross. She entrusts her child to Gi-hun, who carries the baby across. When he wants to return for Jun-hee, she steps off the platform so he will not risk the infant’s life. The VIPs then force the newborn into the competition as Player 222. In Sky Squid Game, the final contestants must push someone from each of three towers. Myung-gi tries to kill the baby for the prize, but Gi-hun protects her; Myung-gi falls, and the death does not count because the round’s button was never pressed.
Gi-hun can kill the baby and win, do nothing and let them both die, or sacrifice himself. He presses the button, then jumps from the tower to his death so Player 222 wins. The Front Man rescues the infant before evacuating the island, then leaves her and the prize with Jun-ho six months later. He takes Gi-hun’s money to his daughter in Los Angeles. On the way out, he sees a stranger recruiting another player with ddakji, hinting that the games continue elsewhere.
