Jennifer's promising dates with Josh end in silence after they spend a night together. She keeps checking her phone, struggling to understand why he has disappeared. A call from Blonsky's parole officer gives her another problem: his inhibitor has reported a fault. Jen accompanies the officer to the retreat, where the device is checked. She is ready to leave when a fight between Man-Bull and El Águila damages her car, trapping her there until a tow truck can arrive.
Poor reception makes Jen's search for a message from Josh increasingly frustrating. She wanders into Blonsky's group session, where the residents include Porcupine, Saracen and Wrecker. Recognising Wrecker from the attack on her, Jen lashes out before the group persuades her to talk. The conversation turns towards Josh and her fear that people prefer She-Hulk to Jennifer. Josh seemed different because he liked her without asking for the green version, which makes his silence feel especially personal.
The group listens and encourages Jen to stop chasing someone who is ignoring her. She allows herself to sit with them as Jennifer, deletes Josh's contact and leaves feeling less alone. The final scene reveals information she still lacks. Three days earlier, Josh copied her phone while she slept, photographed her and sent a message to HulkKing indicating that he had obtained her blood. Jen has treated his disappearance as rejection; the audience now knows that their intimacy was part of a deliberate intrusion.
