Is This Not Real Magic?

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Wong seeks Jennifer's help after magician Donny Blaze uses a sling ring during a stage act. His volunteer, Madisynn, passes through another dimension before landing beside Wong while he watches television. Blaze's former connection to Kamar-Taj has given him access to magic he uses recklessly, but Wong has no written agreement that settles the dispute. Jen pursues a cease-and-desist through the courts. Madisynn gives evidence, yet the judge allows Blaze to keep performing while considering the case.

Jen is also trying to date, with little interest in her ordinary profile. Nikki encourages her to try an account as She-Hulk. The new profile attracts plenty of attention, though the dates often care more about her transformed body than about her. One man appears more interested in listening, and Jen brings him home. Their evening is interrupted when Wong needs help: Blaze has opened another portal and filled his theatre with small demons he cannot control.

She-Hulk and Wong contain the creatures and send them away. With the danger still immediate, Jen gets Blaze and his manager to agree to stop the offending act. Returning home gives her only a brief respite. Her date leaves after meeting her as Jennifer the next morning, making clear which appearance interested him. A visitor then serves her legal papers: Titania has trademarked She-Hulk and wants Jen to stop using the name that other people gave her.
