Jennifer confronts Emil Blonsky about the fight footage that threatens his parole application. He says Wong took him out of prison against his wishes. Wong confirms that he needed a strong opponent and agrees to testify, giving Jen a witness who can explain the unauthorised absence. At the hearing, Blonsky describes his remorse and plans for life outside. Wong arrives after Jen has begun stalling, then explains that Blonsky refused an offer to remain at Kamar-Taj and returned voluntarily to custody.
A second case brings Jen's former colleague Dennis Bukowski to GLK&H. An Asgardian shapeshifter called Runa persuaded him that he was dating Megan Thee Stallion and took his money. Pug represents Dennis, while Runa's impersonations create fresh trouble around the proceedings. Jen eventually helps by describing Dennis's inflated opinion of himself: he could indeed believe that a famous musician wanted him. Her unflattering testimony supports his claim, and the real Megan appears as Runa loses the case.
Blonsky demonstrates that he can speak calmly as Abomination, though transforming without warning alarms the board. He receives parole with an inhibitor and a prohibition on transforming. Jen also attempts to manage her public image through an interview, without much success. Later, armed men ambush her outside her home. She transforms and beats them back. Their attempt to pierce her skin with a syringe fails, and their retreat reveals that taking her blood, for an unnamed boss, was the attack's purpose.
