Otis wakes beside Ruby after the party and cannot clearly remember their night together. Worried about contraception, he accompanies her to obtain emergency contraception, hearing more about her home life along the way. His attempts to apologize to Maeve are undermined by students congratulating him about Ruby. At school, private information from Jean's stolen notebook circulates, and she learns that Otis has been charging students for advice. When she confronts him at home, he lies. Jean recognizes the evasion and compares it to Remi's behavior, leaving Otis unable to escape the consequences of either the clinic or the party.
A detention assignment puts Aimee with Maeve, Ola, Lily, Olivia and Viv. Their initial disagreements give way to shared accounts of harassment, allowing Aimee to explain how the bus assault has changed her life. The others accompany her to smash discarded objects and, later, board the bus with her so she does not have to face it alone. Maeve and Ola also admit their rivalry over Otis. Ola and Lily finally acknowledge that they want more than friendship. Eric brings Rahim to church, where their different beliefs become apparent. Isaac warns Maeve that Erin is pretending to leave for work. Maeve catches her mother returning to the caravan, hears that she was fired, and warns her against another lie.
