Cobel learns that former Lumon employee Reghabi helped Petey reintegrate. Inside the office, Mark protests when Ms. Casey is sent to the break room for failing to watch Helly; Cobel responds by removing Macrodata Refinement's hallway privileges. Mark then asks Irving to lead the group to Optics and Design. He proposes that MDR and O&D cooperate to learn more about Lumon, but Milchick interrupts and sends them back. Dylan secretly takes an illustrated card from O&D. Outside, Devon encounters Gabby, the woman she met at the birthing lodge, but Gabby does not remember her. She also learns that Gabby's husband, Senator Angelo Arteta, supports severance.
Milchick visits Dylan at home and uses the overtime contingency to wake his innie. Dylan learns that his outside self has a young son, then Milchick switches him back. At work, Cobel orders a locked door installed to restrict MDR. Mark's outside self fixes Petey's phone and answers a call from the woman who has been trying to reach him. He meets her at a university, where Reghabi says she helped Petey and offers to explain more. Inside, Irving finds Burt's private room of plants and admits his feelings, though he is not ready to commit. The episode closes with Mark following Reghabi, bringing Petey's contact into the open.
