Reghabi tells Mark that she implanted his severance chip and offers to remove it. Graner interrupts their meeting, and Reghabi kills him with a baseball bat. She gives Mark Graner's access card and says his work self will know what to do with it. At Lumon, Dylan challenges Milchick for waking him at home; Milchick confirms the overtime contingency and that Dylan has a son. Milchick then stages a Music Dance Experience to celebrate Helly's progress. Dylan refuses to join and attacks Milchick, angry that he cannot know his child. He tells the others what happened and why the outside activation matters.
Mark and Helly use Graner's card to enter the security room, where they learn that two people must operate separate switches to activate overtime. Irving goes to Burt's retirement party and is shaken by a recording from Burt's outside self. Back in MDR, Irving tells Mark, Helly and Dylan that he wants to fight Lumon. Outside, Mark tears up a photo of Gemma after Alexa says he is not ready for a relationship. Earlier, Cobel asks Devon whether Mark ever thought he saw Gemma after her death. Mark reassembles the photograph, revealing to the viewer that the wife he is mourning is Lumon’s wellness counsellor, Ms. Casey.
