Elliot meets Whiterose in a shielded room and learns why the Dark Army abandoned the attack. Gideon has turned the compromised E Corp server into a honeypot, making it unsafe for the hackers to proceed. Whiterose gives Elliot a short deadline to remove the trap if he wants their cooperation. Back at Allsafe, he uses a fsociety broadcast to distract the staff, obtains access to Gideon's phone and cancels the request maintaining the honeypot. Gideon catches him away from the gathering and becomes more suspicious. Meanwhile, police question Tyrell about Sharon's death. Joanna deliberately brings on labor to interrupt their visit to the apartment.
At Coney Island, Elliot and Darlene celebrate the progress toward their attack. He misreads her affection and kisses her, prompting a horrified response. Darlene asks whether he has forgotten who she is, and Elliot finally remembers that she is his sister. The realization exposes a gap in his memory that he cannot explain. He returns home and searches for information about himself, then opens an unlabelled disc in his collection. Family photographs show young Elliot and Darlene with their parents; the father in those pictures has Mr. Robot's face. Elliot must now reconcile the man recruiting him with the father he remembers losing. Mr. Robot arrives at his door and tells him they need to talk.
