Kim Shin's realization that he loves Eun-tak makes their return from Quebec awkward. He withdraws, while she continues helping the ghosts who seek her out. A young woman's spirit asks Eun-tak to tidy her room and fill the refrigerator before her grieving mother arrives. Eun-tak carries out the request, giving the mother a kinder last impression of her daughter's life before the spirit passes onward.
Eun-tak moves into Shin's house, where the Grim Reaper gives up his room until hers is ready. Sharing a home means negotiating meals, privacy and how the two supernatural men should contact her. Deok-hwa supplies phones and tries to teach them how to use them. Eun-tak delays removing the sword because she fears that once Shin no longer needs her, she will lose her place in the house.
The Reaper's attraction to Sunny is complicated by a question he cannot answer: his name. He turns to Eun-tak for suggestions and struggles to make the phone call Sunny has been waiting for. Shin, meanwhile, blurts out that he is Eun-tak's boyfriend during an argument. Their growing closeness is interrupted by his vision of her older, happy self in Quebec, which he takes to mean that he will be gone.
