Kim Shin goes to Sunny after the Grim Reaper confirms that she was Kim Sun. He embraces her and brings things his sister once liked, but Sunny suspects an elaborate excuse for the Reaper to see her. At Shin's house she asks for proof, studies the portrait and hears about the queen's life. The account leaves her facing a family relationship she has no conscious memory of.
Eun-tak graduates with help from the woman in red and the friends who have become her family. Shin also gives her access to her mother's insurance money. Then another death notice arrives for her, and he finally explains the danger he has hidden: if she does not remove the sword, death will keep coming for her. Eun-tak struggles with the choice but insists on continuing to live each day.
Sunny knocks the Reaper's invisible hat off and sees him appear before her. He admits what he is and asks whether they should end their relationship. Elsewhere, Eun-tak agrees to confront a ghost's murderous husband and nearly falls victim to him on a rooftop. She summons Shin, who saves her and sends the man to confess. A new ghost then approaches her: the royal adviser from Shin's past, Park Joong-heon.
