Littlefinger gives Bran the dagger used in the attempt on his life, but Bran unsettles him by repeating his words about chaos being a ladder. Meera announces she is leaving; Bran's detached thanks hurt her after the losses suffered bringing him north. Arya returns to Winterfell and reunites with Sansa in the crypts before meeting Bran. He gives her the dagger and reveals knowledge of her travels. Arya later spars with Brienne, showing her changed fighting skills while Sansa and Littlefinger watch.
At Dragonstone, Jon shows Daenerys cave drawings depicting the Children of the Forest and First Men fighting the White Walkers together. She offers help if he bends the knee, but he remains reluctant. News of the losses at Casterly Rock and Highgarden angers Daenerys, who considers attacking King's Landing with her dragons. Jon warns that burning a city would make her another destructive ruler. Theon arrives seeking help to rescue Yara, only to learn Daenerys has already left.
The Tyrell gold reaches King's Landing ahead of Jaime's remaining supply train. On the road, the Dothraki charge the Lannister army as Daenerys attacks from Drogon's back, burning soldiers and wagons. Bronn abandons his gold during the fighting and uses Qyburn's scorpion to wound Drogon. The dragon destroys the weapon and lands, allowing Daenerys to tend the injury. Seeing a chance to end the war, Jaime charges at her with a spear. Drogon turns to breathe fire, but Bronn knocks Jaime into the river before the blast hits. Jaime sinks beneath the water.
