Jimmy settles into Davis & Main with a new Mercedes, while Kim quietly rearranges the seating at a meeting so they can sit together. She gives him a travel mug altered to read “World’s 2nd Best Lawyer.” The small joke softens a professional gathering where Chuck is present, watching Jimmy’s new position with unease.
Mike’s former client Daniel Wormald tells him that someone broke into his house and stole his baseball-card collection. Mike cautions him against involving the police, but Daniel wants the cards back. Mike negotiates with Nacho, who has the cards, and arranges a trade: Daniel gives up his Hummer, Nacho returns the collection and pays him ten thousand dollars.
When Daniel is questioned by detectives, Jimmy represents him and invents an absurd story about a failed affair and a supposed pie-related fetish to explain why Daniel hid his valuables. The detectives seem satisfied, but Jimmy tells Daniel they will need a video to back up the tale. Kim is initially amused by the story, then angry when she learns Jimmy fabricated evidence for a client. She draws a firm line between their private bar con and his willingness to risk his legal career. She tells Jimmy she never wants to hear about such misconduct again, and he agrees.
