Day 7: 12:00 A.M. - 1:00 A.M.

Contains spoilers for this episode.

Starkwood orders the FBI off its property after the failed warehouse search. Jack identifies Douglas Knowles, the board chairman who had cooperated with Senator Mayer, as another possible source inside the company. Larry Moss creates a confrontation with Seaton so Tony can slip away before the federal team withdraws. Knowles guides Tony toward a guarded building, and support from the FBI helps him get inside. President Taylor prepares an air strike but requires confirmation of the canisters' location.

Jack's infection begins causing tremors and a severe collapse. Medication brings his symptoms under temporary control, and a doctor raises the possibility of an experimental treatment using a compatible relative's stem cells. Jack refuses to contact Kim. Tony obtains a security uniform and reaches the underground weapons area, sending images that Jack recognizes as the stolen canisters. Elsewhere, Olivia prevents reporter Ken Dellao from exposing the operation by turning a recording of their sexual encounter into leverage against him.

Hodges confronts Knowles over his assistance to the FBI, attacks him with a decanter and kills him. Tony's images allow the air strike to proceed, but Starkwood detects the approaching fighters. Hodges privately calls Taylor and shows her that three missiles are ready to launch at American cities. He demands that she recall the aircraft and meet him at the White House. Taylor returns to the Situation Room and abruptly cancels the strike without explaining the threat to her advisers.
