The city tears itself apart under William's command while Caleb and Stubbs help Frankie toward the docks. They stop at a pharmacy to treat her leg, and Caleb's host body begins visibly failing. Clementine kills Stubbs and demands that Frankie reveal where the outliers are hiding. Caleb fights her, giving Frankie time to shoot her. At the boat, Caleb refuses to leave: he knows that this body cannot last, but treasures having seen his daughter grown up. Frankie says goodbye and leaves with Odina. Caleb watches them leave.
Hale's drone hosts restore her, and Bernard's recorded message persuades her to protect one final possibility. She retrieves the Storyteller pearl containing Christina and follows William to the Hoover Dam before he can destroy the Sublime. Using a gun Bernard left in the tunnel, she shoots William and crushes his pearl. Hale stabilises the servers, uploads Christina and then destroys her own pearl. Christina realises that Maya and the Teddy beside her were figures she created to help herself awaken. Recovering her identity as Dolores, she chooses a final test inside the Sublime, drawing on her memories of humans and hosts. She recreates Westworld as its setting, but the episode ends before the test's outcome is shown.
