Maeve and Caleb visit Senator Whitney while following William's connections, only to find that the senator and his wife have been replaced by hosts. Maeve's usual control over other hosts does not immediately stop their attackers. Examining the senator's memories reveals how Hale and William removed the real couple. In the barn, Maeve and Caleb find the senator's human wife alive but behaving violently, surrounded by slaughtered horses. She invites them to an opening night before attacking Caleb. Maeve shoots her, and the invitation sends the pair toward an opera house that conceals a much larger Delos operation.
The apparently empty theatre leads into a lively reception, which turns out to be aboard a moving train. Maeve and Caleb are being taken to a new park built around the American 1920s, with costumes and weapons replacing their own clothes. William presents the attraction publicly while Hale deals with officials who might obstruct it. Clementine, attacked by William earlier, now works alongside him. Hale also keeps the original human William imprisoned, facing the host wearing his likeness. Christina follows Peter's connection to a hospital wing dedicated in his name, despite having just witnessed his death. Drawings of a tower deepen the mystery surrounding his life and her stories.
