Han-seo tries to stop his brother from firing again, but Han-seok shoots him in the stomach. Han-seok escapes when his ammunition runs out, leaving Vincenzo beside the wounded Cha-young and dying Han-seo. Vincenzo recognises the younger man's courage and accepts him as a brother. Cha-young survives and wakes in hospital, where she tells Vincenzo to finish the fight. He prepares to leave Korea once his remaining enemies have been dealt with.
Vincenzo forces Seung-hyuk to obtain Myung-hee's release, exposing her to the revenge she thought prison would delay. Han-seok has Seung-hyuk stabbed outside the prosecution offices. Vincenzo captures Myung-hee and burns her alive, then intercepts Han-seok with help from the plaza tenants. Cheol-wook is stabbed during the dock confrontation but survives. Han-seo's phone supplies the trail to his brother through trackers hidden in Han-seok's watches, giving Vincenzo the means to catch the man who killed him.
Vincenzo straps Han-seok into a device designed to pierce him slowly and leaves him to suffer. He then escapes Korea with a new identity, sharing a hurried farewell embrace with Cha-young. A year later, the Geumga residents still defend their building, and Cha-young reunites with Vincenzo at a diplomatic event. He now leads the Cassano family and owns an island near Malta. The gold is safe in her care, and their reunion ends with a kiss before his short visit must end.
