Vincenzo's confrontation with Park Seok-do ends with a temporary retreat by the demolition gang, but Geumga Plaza remains in Babel's hands. He visits the injured Cho Yeong-un and weighs how to recover the gold before the company destroys the building. The vault's security complicates any shortcut: forcing entry risks bringing down the foundations. With monks still using the temple above it, even reaching the right patch of floor is difficult.
Hong Yu-chan lets Vincenzo examine his Babel case documents, bringing the two lawyers into a closer working relationship. Cha-young treats Vincenzo's interest with suspicion and urges him to return to Italy. Her own workplace is changing as prosecutor Choi Myung-hee quits public service and joins Wusang. Meanwhile, a missing Babel researcher contacts Yu-chan about exposing the pharmaceutical company, giving his lawsuit a possible witness whom Babel is desperate to find.
Cha-young learns that the plaza's demolition is scheduled for the following night and warns Vincenzo because her father is still there. The residents prepare to lose their homes and businesses while Vincenzo appears absorbed in social media. His posts are actually invitations: when the excavators arrive, the grounds are packed with guests enjoying a wine party. The crowd stops the planned demolition, and Cha-young arrives to find a celebration where she expected a disaster. Vincenzo raises his glass to her across the party.
