Han-seok's ruined presentation leads to questioning over Babel's anti-union activity, but the protection around him holds. Han-seo is prepared to take responsibility, and a senior prosecutor interrupts the investigation. Vincenzo and Cha-young turn towards Babel's money instead, tracing a shell company to an art gallery. Han-seo offers to help remove his brother, but Vincenzo initially refuses to make a bargain that depends on turning one family member against another.
At Geumga Plaza, Mi-ri reveals that she designed the vault's security and wants a share of the gold. Her technical skills also help Jipuragi reach the gallery's private records. She changes a couple's reservation so Vincenzo and Cha-young can enter in their place, while the other tenants entertain the real guests at the plaza. The false couple must stay convincing long enough for their friends to gain access to the gallery director's computer. An unexpected proposal performance forces their disguise further, and Cha-young initiates a kiss with Vincenzo.
The gallery visit brings financial records within reach, although the director discovers the deception. Vincenzo and Cha-young change their story again, presenting themselves as Italian investigators and using the smuggled artwork to pressure her. Their team leaves with the files it came for. Back at the plaza, Vincenzo senses danger and sends Cha-young to buy drinks while he heads to the rooftop. Armed men connected to Paolo trap him there, leaving him on his knees with guns aimed at his head.
