Ju-kyung comforts Su-ho on the rooftop and returns his jacket. When a fire alarm sends people crowding through the building, he shields her on the stairs and sees her to the bus. His father's arrival at a school meeting draws attention that Su-ho had tried to avoid, while Ju-kyung's mother is distracted by the actor's celebrity. Once home, she confronts her daughter's poor grades and threatens to throw away her makeup. Su-jin faces a harsher punishment from her own father, whose demands for top marks turn violent. Meanwhile, Seo-jun learns that Ju-kyung defended Go-woon and thanks her for helping his sister.
A makeup lesson at Go-woon's home ends with Ju-kyung catching Seo-jun dancing in his underwear. Su-ho's visit to her family dinner is equally awkward, with sibling arguments and a power failure leaving him trapped beneath the family. Away from these encounters, a ringing phone brings back his memories of Se-yeon. He then sees Ju-kyung flee her former bullies and helps her hide without revealing her new school identity. Seo-jun discovers that Su-ho quietly sought help for his mother's treatment, forcing him to reconsider their estrangement. Before they can settle it, a rival calls to say he is holding Ju-kyung at a karaoke room. Both boys rush there and fight to get her out.
