Ju-kyung tries to keep her school identity separate from her bare-faced visits to Prince Comics. Su-ho recognizes her as the girl from the rooftop, while she assumes his promise of silence concerns her makeup. Their shared taste in horror comics leads to a confidentiality agreement and a birthday meal, but the misunderstanding collapses when she approaches him at school and he treats her like a stranger. Worried that a gift bag contains a note revealing too much, she snatches it back. When he asks her to meet again, she hides inside a motorcycle helmet rather than risk choosing the wrong appearance.
The helmet belongs to Han Seo-jun, whom Ju-kyung met while he was fleeing a confrontation. His return to Saebom puts him face to face with Su-ho, and their hostility is visible to their classmates. Meanwhile, Su-jin protects Ju-kyung from a man secretly photographing her on the bus. Ju-kyung's old bullies still frighten her, even when she has makeup on and they do not recognize her. At school, a celebration for Soo-ah and Tae-hoon's anniversary ends with cake hitting Ju-kyung's face. She flees rather than let anyone clean it off and expose her skin. Su-ho reaches her in the crowded hallway, covers her head with his jacket and leads her away.
